In the beginning, She slept in darkness. She dreamed and when She arose from Her slumber She set about creating the world of Her dream. She set out upon the vast ocean of Her imagination and the wind through Her hair became Her constant companion, the Serpent, who coiled itself into her belly and drove her will.
In her dream, the Great One saw Woman and her kind and they awoke from their slumber of becoming and looked upon the world, the great living body of their Mother and Queen, and upon their own bodies and they knew the mysteries of Life and Death.
As the Mother herself carries with her the Serpent, so also do human women give harbor to the mysterious, ancient Oroboros, the snake devouring its own tail. Miraculously, each one of us is made in the body of our mother from the living body of the Great Mother herself.
We are formed of and formed in Her and we are Her and when we eat She eats of Her own flesh and thus all that has died will have new life without end.
Women are the guardians of the strange loop of existence, the impossible Escherian miracle of creation from void, the dream power to make Life and to weave Spirit into Matter.
